Piasa Ink St. Louis Product Almin Sabotic

Illinois Piasa announced today the signing of St. Louis product Almin Sabotic for the upcoming +Professional Arena Soccer League season.

Sabotic grew up playing in the St. Louis youth soccer system, first with Busch Soccer Club and then Lou Fusz Soccer Club. He went on to graduate from Mehlville High School in 2008.

His college career began at +St. Louis Community College, where Sabotic was named 2009 NJCAA All-American. From there the midfielder transferred to NCAA Division II program +University of Missouri-St. Louis. After his senior season in 2011, Sabotic received All-Conference and All-Region honors scoring a team-high 7 goals and 5 assists in 17 games.

Quoted on the Illinois Piasa website: “I am very excited to be playing for the Piasa and will do my best to represent the team on and off the field. We have a great coaching staff that will prepare us for a winning season. I have always enjoyed playing indoor and this will give me the opportunity to continue to play at a high level. Our team goal is to make it out of our division and make a push in the playoffs.” said Sabotic.
